  • Fantastic Games & Toys: (425) 775-4871. Located: 22617 76th Ave. W., Suite 204, Edmonds, WA 98026. Located near the Ranch 99 Market behind Payless Shoes, on the second floor on the south side of the complex.
  • The Game Matrix: 253-583-9708. Located: 8610 South Tacoma Way, Lakewood, WA 98499. Tacoma area; RPGs, CCGs, Miniature Gaming, Board Games and hobby game supplies.
  • Gamefest: 425-391-8171. Located: 605 E. Sunset Way, Suite 100, Issaquah, WA 98027. Board games, strategy games, etc.
  • Games Plus: (425) 485-7295. Located: 12637 NE Woodinville Dr, Woodinville. Has a large back room and the owner is willing to host games to around 11 pm or so.

  • Gamma Ray Games: Located: 411 E. Pine Street, Seattle, WA 98122. The space is fantastic, open and airy, with a cool “gaming loft” for open gaming. The stock is mostly Euros at the moment, but owner Eric Logan was really interested in hearing about what cool indie RPGs he should be stocking.
  • Gary’s Games and Hobbies: (Local): Alas, Gary retired. Thank you for a long history of supporting the gamer community!

  • Green Lake Games: (206) 922-3146 Located: 7509 Aurora Ave. N, Seattle, WA 98103 (Aurora/Green Lake neighbourhood). Play space for 30 people, with a selection of over 800 board games and over 300 RPG books.
  • Half Price Books: 206.547.7859. Located: 4709 Roosevelt Way N.E., Seattle, WA 98105-5602. Also stores in Bellevue, Everett, Lynnwood, Redmond, Tukwila, Tacoma, and Seattle (Capitol Hill). Have an RPG section.

Pacific Northwest Conventions

  • AmberCon: dedicated to the Amber Diceless RPG, held annually in Northern Oregon.  (November)
  • Astronomi-Con: the largest independently run Warhammer 40,000 Tournament in Canada, with an annual event in Vancouver, BC.  (June)
  • ConFusion: Gaming convention in Victoria, BC.  (October)
  • Crypticon: A horror convention in Everett, with a gaming track.  (June)
  • Dak-kön: Vancouver Island gaming event, focused on role-playing.  (February)
  • Dragonflight: Yearly Seattle area tabletop gaming convention.  (August)
  • Emerald City ComiCon: Primarily comics, but has some tabletop gaming.  (April)
  • Enfilade!: Miniatures wargaming convention (Memorial Day weekend, May)
  • Eugene Game Gala (EGG): Board games day in Eugene, OR.  (February)
  • Fandemonium: A celebration of fandom near Boise, Idaho.  (August)
  • Game Design Expo: For game industry pros, students of game design, and everyone passionate about games, Vancouver Film School’s Game Design program organizes this yearly event. Focus on electronic, computer, and console gaming, in Vancouver, BC.  (February)
  • GameOn: New board game convention  in Issaquah.  (February)
  • GameStorm: gaming convention in Vancouver WA (the one near Portland, OR) — now includes Indie Hurricane! (March)
  • GAMEX: the University of Oregon Gaming Club’s annual Gaming Extravaganza, in Eugene, OR.  (May)
  • Go Play NW: A convention for people who like to design, run, and play independent role-playing games.  (June)
  • GottaCon: New game convention in Victoria, BC.  (February)
  • Just A Game Con: Very inexpensive gaming convention in Corvallis, Oregon.  (April)
  • LAN Party NW: Western Washington’s LAN of choice.  (Quarterly)
  • Northwest Classic Gaming Expo: Held in various cities depending on the year
  • NorWesCon: primarily a science-fiction convention with some RPGs and cosplay — famous as one of the rare conventions in the area that includes full-bar private parties (Easter weekend)
  • OryCon: Science-fiction convention in Portland, OR (November)
  • PaizoCon: Anual meetup organized by Paizo Publishing.  (June)
  • PAX (Penny Arcade Expo): Primarily console, video and PC gaming, but has a growing RPG section. (Labor Day weekend, September)
  • PDXLAN: Semi-annual LAN event in Portland.
  • Portland Retro Gaming Convention: annual convention to support the hobby of classic video game collecting (September)
  • RadCon: Sci-fi/fantasy and gaming convention held in Pasco, WA (Presidents Day weekend, February)
  • Rustycon: Science-fiction and fantasy convention in the Greater Seattle area (January)
  • Sakura-Con: Anime convention, primarily cosplay and contests but has a gaming section ranging from electronic to tabletop. (April)
  • SteamCon: Revolves around the steampunk genre.  (October)
  • VCon: Science fiction, fantasy, and gaming convention in Vancouver, BC. (October)

    Puget Sound Star Wars Meetup – we currently have two games running Monday nights at Third Place Commons. We’ve been going strong for several months now.
